Border children deserve humane treatment, due process

They're children. Tens of thousands of them, boys and girls, some just toddlers, many under 12 years old, who somehow made it here from the violent, gang-filled, homicide-ridden countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

Rep. Mike McCaul: Halt Flow of Illegal Immigrants to Protect Kids

McCaul visited a facility earlier this month in McAllen, Texas, where a group of immigrants was being held. He described the facility as a "refugee camp in the United States." Many of the illegal immigrants are teenage boys, he said.

"About 80 percent, though, of these so-called children are about 16 to 17 years old, most male. That, from a security standpoint, greatly concerns me," he said. "What are they going to be doing in the United States of America with no education? They can't speak English. That's the threat that I think a lot of people are concerned about."

Just last night Jeanine Pirro interviewed a border patrol agent who said we're knowingly turning admitted MS13 murderers loose on American soil.

How about we allow those who want to get away from “violent, gang-filled, homicide-ridden” hellholes to come here but only if we can send an equal number of those who create “violent, gang-filled, homicide-ridden” hellholes (Democrats) here to the countries these people are fleeing from.

We can start by shipping Reid, Pelosi, Emanuel, the Clintons, and the Obamas south. They can do for Central and South America what they have done for Detroit and Chicago.

Due process for these criminal trespassers is a return ticket on the first bus, train or airplane heading back to their home country.

And even that is more than they deserve.

As has often been said, the US Constitution isn’t a suicide pact.

Irony of ironies is that American blacks voted in the man who is now unleashing MS-13 gang members into their neighborhoods. There were many news stories starting about 2009 describing how when MS-13 takes over an area blacks are forced to flee. Chickens meet roost!

The San Jose Mercury and other media outlets need to look what’s happening in Los Angeles. The most popular radio and television outlets broadcast in Spanish. Nobody reads the newspaper let alone one written in English. In five or so years the San Jose Mercury newspaper will be a distant memory.

A good point. The media says children; hoping to bring up pictures of starving youngsters like we are always encouraged to send money to support. But if that were really the case we would be seeing those heart-rending pictures and we just aren't they can't find them.

It reminds me of the account in the Bible of in II Kings 2 where the ‘children’ mock Elisha and are then eaten by a bear. The liberal theologians love to have a heyday complaining that God punished innocent little children.

I’ll go along with humane treatment, for the young and old, but due process is a subjective term. In this case it we should pass an emergency act that allows us to put these illegals in camps where they can be well treated and taken care of, and then returned to their home countries where they belong.
