OK, seriously, Diogenesis, if Brit Hume is a hyperliberal, where do you place Chris Matthews, Candy Crowley, Bob Shieffer, Dan Rather, Chuck Todd, Rachel Maddow, etc, etc?
Because Brit Hume is NOTHING like these others. Now, Hume may be a RINO for sure, but he is not a liberal.
And Perry isn't a conservative, either, and in fact I would say his position on most things line right up with Brit's. Perry is pro-amnesty, for example.
RE: Hume
A few weeks ago, I was astonished when Hume claimed that the current comprehensive immigration law was not amnesty. He went on to say the amnesty was not a part of any of the previous comprehensive immigration bills.

We have had thousands of rounds of what is and is not amnesty. ‘They’ have thrown out numerous terms as an attempt to change the perception. Some call it regularization; some call it legalization.
What level of intelligence does it take to see through such smokescreens? Just because the word - amnesty - is not used does not mean that implementation of a bill results in giving illegals a ‘safe haven’.
Amnesty, not matter what you call it, is still amnesty.

Hume and the entire Fox/News Corp seems to have a distinct pro-Latino flavor any more. It would be interesting to know the details of Murdoch’s meeting with Valeria Jarrett a few weeks ago, as the topic was supposedly immigration.
How is Perry pro Amnesty? I would say he is pretty Conservative on most issues and would be in my top 5-8 for President. He has done a good job in Texas and is taking the sealing of the border seriously.
