The Democrats like all statists hate our entire Constitution because it limits the power of government. A statist believes that the government should have supreme power and they believe that people are simply the property of the government. They would eliminate our Bill of Rights altogether because in their concept of rights those rights are granted by the government, not by God; thus, the government decides who can do what and who is entitled to exercise their “rights”.
An example of this false concept of rights is where the US government uses their National Instant Background Check System to decide who should be eligible to legally purchase guns. Violent criminals readily have guns because they do not use legal means to obtain guns; so, the people using the background check system to legally obtain firearms are people who choose to obey the law. Nevertheless, some of those law-abiding people are denied by the background check system rendering them unable to exercise their right to keep and bear arms by legally purchasing a firearm.

I personalty am concerned that democrats will soon turn the Background check system and its requirements into a kind of blacklist to be used against political enemies/ rivals.
I think we both suspect they are trying to find ways to do this in our gut. This is of course not at all without reason as this is the left’s observed behavior in every area in which they have the escapist, they are generally almost completely intolerant of conservative speech and organizations, and have demonstrated repeatedly their willingness to abuse their power both in office and as organizing groups in an effort to suppress and harass anyone who expresses such views.
Indeed I think this is ultimately the reason why Eric holder and Obama have for the last 5 years been so desperately trying to drum up fake concern about the thus far non-existent “domestic terrorist threat”. Even going so far as to classify Tea-party protesters as domestic terrorist watch groups.
They are doing this so that they can uses theses same tools and powers to spy upon, harass, and ultimately attack us. Unfortunately their abuse of power in this area thou not nearly as successful in achieving their goals as they no doubt had hoped, has resulted in more than suppression of our rights to freedom of speech. People have died in Boston and other places because they politically choose to watch us while ignoring the real, proven and established foreign terrorist threat.
I recall 3 separate attacks that terrorist have carried out unobstructed against theses united States sense Obama has taken office and decided to focus the Federal government’s resources on his political enemies rather than America’s foreign enemies. We lucked out in two of them because the terrorist failed to make their own bombs go off. But a lot of people died in Boston because of Obama’s corruptly spent resources.
