RE:”11 million on disability. 50% of young black unemployment in major cities. Yet we need MORE immigrants?’

The first one you cite is actually a argument for some sort of immigrant worker program.

I thought this country was turned upside down for the past several decades to make places available for the disabled so that they could become part of society and productive workers. Why would you then need immigrants?

I think that is pretty natural. Particularly with men who tend to be more technical in thought than women.

A person who reads quickly would almost certainly be less likely to catch spelling or even grammatical errors.

A gazzillion American citizens, between ages 20 and 30, are doing bugger all. Except whining about the fact they can’t start work as a CEO. And whining that the cost of an iPhone is more than mom and dad want to pay.

BS.

Golly no kidding. They are constantly ripping things up and remaking things to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

AHHH yes, I see your sarcasm.

I think you know the problem,
someone has to make those wheelchair ramps and elevators for the handicapped to use, that WE are forced to pay for.

But how come its near a $200 fine to park in a handicapped parking spot, most unused, but we are all allowed to use handicapped bathroom stalls?

What if they have to go?

Immigrants, legal and illegal, use welfare programs to a greater extent than the native born.

If we have a shortage of labor, why are wages declining?

Has our educational system adapted to the jobs market other than college? I don't get it then.

BS, there is no wage growth in these fields and something like 1/3 STEM graduates this year are unemployed.

Overall there is no wage growth in this country which show there is no shortage of workers.

You just demonstrated why H1B prevents wage increases and why ‘not enough Americans’ will do the job. You destroyed your own argument.

Do you not understand supply and demand ? Cut off H1B and wages will rise and more people will become computer programmers, which is difficult and requires more incentives.

I don’t think you are all that good at math, or at least, reasoning.

H1B means increased supply, no wage pressure. No H1B means less supply, more wage pressure.

I understand treasonous managerial types just want cheap labor across the board though. It means bigger bonuses.

Problem-What happens when each successive wave of immigrants learn that they don’t have to work because the government will pay them not to work?

Solution-MORE IMMIGRANTS.

80K is a pathetic wage for something as technical a CompSci. Mechanics can make that much and it’s actually fun. Same with good carpenters. I definitely know painters making far more than that, people who do their own contracting.

For a job that really isn’t enjoyable you need to pay more to get people interested, it’s just basic economics.

ps, Zuckerberg was colluding to drive down SV engineer salaries.

Why in the world would anyone in the U.S. want to work?

If you don’t, you get free housing, food, utilities, transportation, medical care, food, cash and a whole host of other goodies from the government.

Better yet, if you tally up the value of the bennies you get it will normally equate to about $35,000 yearly if you actually had to work and earn an income.

Now, others from the south want their government bennies too and have found that all you have to do is illegally enter the country and in the near future you can have these wonderful bennies too.

Ain’t life good in a socialist world?

This is more Horse Hooey

There are a large number of American computer programmers out of work...and most of them were let go because companies preferred lower paid lesser trained foreigners

There is no shortage of labor. There is a shortage of companies who will hire American

The teachers’ unions are the reason why we are importing these illegals to begin with; municipalities have been laying off cops and public works employees because their unions are weaker, but as our schools empty of children the teachers will have to go as well.

These illegals are being trafficked here to fill housing and schools, nothing more. They will be shipped to places that need re-populating; ironically, Indians are getting back the land Europeans stole from them...

Socialists grow poverty—it is their business and the source of their power. What is infuriating is that the GOPe allows it.

If that chart is true, and I assume it is, I am not surprised - but it doesn’t address the point I was making.
