The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday it had uncovered a new safety breach at its bioterror research laboratories involving dangerous avian flu, just as it was investigating the failures behind the potential exposure of researchers to live anthrax bacteria.
In its first findings from an internal probe into the anthrax incident last month, the CDC said multiple failures by individual scientists and a lack of agency-wide safety policies had led to the potential exposure of more than 80 lab workers to the dangerous bacteria at its campus in Atlanta.

In all fairness to the CDC, anthrax, bird flu and smallpox are going to seem insignificant after the government assumes full control of this nation's healthcare system.
This just after the Atlanta CDC reported that they had found cardboard boxes with smallpox that had been left in an unsecured closet for 40+ years.
(The smallpox had been left in a closed CDC office up near Baltimore/Washington DC.
I charge this “lapse” was absolutely intentional. If this is a BLS-4 (highest level of security) situation, then absolutely someone pulled a stunt. The protocols are strict, the personnel hand-picked for their stringent discipline, and they are treated as no BS situations. Yet, this.
A number of people belong in jail for this “lapse”.
Apparently they hire their lab safety managers from the same pool the IRS hires their system administrators.
Well, now.
Though Reuters is taking a bit of a softball approach.

That was exactly what I was saying at the outset. They’ve ‘closed’ labs as a result. Total Train-wreck.
Question: Do ya think the morale at DHS, TSA, CBP is any better, to say nothing of of other Federal agencies responsible for public safety & security, and/or our armed services?
‘Train-wreck’.
Speaking of TSA morale, I want to know who ordered TSA to accept these illegals onto commercial aircraft without ID...
