Perry: Obama Doesn’t Know Where the Border Patrol is Stationed
White House Dossier ^ | 7-11-14 | Keith Koffler

Posted on 07/11/2014 10:00:54 AM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

Well, here’s one good reason for President Obama to have visited the border, beyond his contemptuous claim that it would be no more than a “photo op,” which of course is something The One never engages in.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry last night told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that during his discussion with Obama Wednesday, he concluded that the president doesn’t even know where his own border patrol agents are situated, suggesting a gross lack of familiarity with the whole process.

Perry said:

We ought to be stopping people from crossing that border, not apprehending them after they get inland. And the president understood that. And, interestingly he did not know that. He – I’m comfortable that he was not knowledgeable about where his border patrol was stationed.

And, he gave me indications that he would work with them to move them upward to where they could be side-by-side with the DPS, with local law enforcement, with the other individuals who are sending that message all the way down to Central America: Don’t send your kids, don’t come up here, because the border, it is shut down.” The idea of moving them up is to keep Central American kids from coming to the border in the first place, because once they’re here, they are going to stay.

In just the latest example of false information disseminated by the president and his White House, the message Obama is trying to send that Central American children will be sent home is simply not true.

According to a Wall Street Journal story today, titled Few Children are Deported:

Data from immigration courts, along with interviews with the children and their advocates, show that few minors are sent home and many are able to stay for years in the U.S., if not permanently.

In fiscal year 2013, immigration judges ordered 3,525 migrant children to be deported, according to Justice Department figures. Judges allowed an additional 888 to voluntarily return home without a formal removal order.

Those figures pale in comparison with the number of children apprehended by the border patrol. In each of the last five years, at least 23,000 and as many as 47,000 juveniles have been apprehended.

So these kids are making a rational choice based on the untended consequences of a 2008 law that ensures they must have a hearing before being deported, as well as the consistent message of lenience, particularly for children, sent by the Obama administration.

In fact, the number of children physically removed from the United States has declined every year since Obama took office, totaling just 1,600 during fiscal year 2013, less than half the total for 2009.

This White House created a problem. And as usual when Obama crises break out, the administration wasn’t ready for it, despite signs that it would happen.

Hey, when George H. W. Bush made small talk about a supermarket scanner, that was evidence that he had never heard of a supermarket scanner, or of a supermarket either, and therefore he was an elitist rich-guy who had no ideas about the troubles or ordinary voters, and therefore he should be booted right the hell out of office, OK?

But when King Barack indicates he doesn't know how far from the border the United States Border Patrol is stationed, in the middle of a large-scale invasion by illegal aliens, hey, that's cause he's too busy working on his golf game and his pool-hall skills, which could happen to anyone. So stop being such a racist.

I agree Governor Perry. So when are you going to declare a State of Emergency or, better yet, a State of War under Article 1, Section 10 of the US Constitution, deploy the Texas State Guard and the Texas State Militia on the border and start driving these invaders back into Mexico?

What is wrong with the people of Texas? Why aren't they pressuring their state officials to act? Are they all hat and no cattle?

More importantly, Rick, do you know where they are stationed??

Obama has stationed the border patrol inland away from the border for quite some time???

It’s your state and you are just finding out about it now???

Could Perry get this fight out of the sandbox and onto the playground?

The snivelling insults at BO are not working

Perry needs to stop the invasion and give up on BO who either planned this, wants this, or doesn’t care.

Congress cannot help Texas or Perry. Half the people in this country want BO in office even if he ruins the country get a clue they don’t like this country

Most people in this country do not care about this invasion they don’t know about it it is not being covered

Perry needs to stop this invasion himself and find the money somewhere, if he can’t find enough volunteers

Texans will remember Perry’s ineptness on this not BO who hasn’t touched this with a ten foot pole

What crisis I’m playing pool?

I remember when Clinton & Bruce Babbitt were shutting down the roads in all the national parks & bulldozing holes at the entrances.

Someone asked Clinton what about all the cattle guards, since cattle were using normal grazing rights in the summer.

Clinton said ‘We will have to RETRAIN them”.

He didn’t even know what a cattle guard was.

Obama was educated in Indonesia. He isn’t a particle as smart as he thinks he is.

I watched Sean’s show last night. The other shocking thing they said was Sean saw a family group illegally cross the border. They were apprehended, scratch that, they were greeted not on the water, but on a bridge.

How easy is that? Just use the border crossing bridges, apparently they aren’t manned to deter the invasion.

Exactly. Perry is an absolute fraud -- a totally useless POS.

Perry must have a very low IQ. If he cannot see that our Republic is being invaded by anti-English, very anti-American third world criminals the he should resign immediately.

We are about to truly lose our Republic and all Perry can do is sound like a little crybaby -- I loathe that POS.

We need leaders who will ACT and completely seal the border and then begin the task of mass deportation of all illegal..

It is maddening to watch these elected officials talk and not understand the seriousness of what is happening. Maddening.

Oh my God this is so frightful. I just came from the grocery store and read the headlines on our local paper that say1 million undocumented aliens in El Paso Texas and MORE to come!!! I am so distraught and very upset near to tears to think that our government has led us down and is jeopardizing the health of its citizens. As it is you come to El Paso and it feels like you are in Mexico already nobody talks English you go to every store in the city and and the main language people speak in Spanish. English is becoming rare in our city. The worst part about it is that these people come with a lot of authority boldness and act like animals!! I am just sounding the alarm this is the beginning of the end of America as we know it. I will go this weekend to buy a gun to defend my home and my family. This is how bad and how far our government has driven its citizens to go!! If millions of Mexicans can come in droves people and from Honduras South America and Or government is not doing a damn thing ...why should we support them with our hard working money to support the illegals!!! we need to rebel and not pay our taxes if enough people take a stand like those people are rushing the border and our government is helpless by choice what are they going to do with those that do not pay their taxes. Throw us by the millions in jail? I doubt it I hate our government I hate Obama I hate every individual in Congress bunch of bastards!

Question: If the illegal immigrants are intercepted AT the border, do they fall under different regulations than they do if they are intercepted 40 miles inland? In one case, they are ATTEMPTING TO ENTER the U.S. In the other, they already are IN the United States. Are they “entitled” to different perks and treatment if they are already IN the U.S. and not just attempting to ENTER the U.S.? If so, that explains why the Border Patrol is stationed so far from the Border.

Perry needs to stop the invasion and give up on BO who either planned this, wants this, or doesn’t care.

If Perry would act in a bold and decisive manner he would become a historic figure.

Instead, this low-IQ POS will continue to whine and talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk.

It is disgusting that we have leaders who cannot see the reality that we are being invaded -- our Republic is about to be destroyed.

You should have equal hate for Perry.

Perry has the power to ACT but he is too weak of a man to do the right thing. All Perry does is whine like a little baby.

BTW, thanks for the information on El Paso -- quite disheartening.

People in Texas are not happy about it. Trust me. I’m sure our politicians are getting lots of phone calls and emails. Will they do anything besides condemn Obama and complain about the administration? That’s yet to be seen.

This picture makes my blood boil. It is disgusting how this Fraud Perry is doing these photo-ops.

Perry wants to convey the image he is taking action, when the reality is that all this POS does is talk, talk and talk.

Let's see, Perry said the Border agents are stationed 40 miles inland?? So, the low-IQ Perry stands around and complain? WTF.

A true leader, a leader with a Love of Liberty, would immediately call on all citizens to form into Militias and completely seal the border.

We need ACTION not WORDS.

Come to soCal where the border checks are 55 miles to the north on I-5 and I-15. They are also right on the border when you walk or drive across.

We have a fence in the San Diego area.
