After Mississippi, do you really think it was just republicans that voted for Linda in the primary?

I haven't seen any analysis of the voting in the SC primary, but Linda only got 55% against five or six weak candidates. I bet, since a Dim doesn't have much chance to win a senate seat in SC that Dim crossovers just vote for Linda in the Republican primary as matter of routine.

These open primaries are insane, unless some of the powers that be want such crossover voting to be possible.

As mentioned in related threads, please consider the following. The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate immigration, immigration a 10th Amendment-protected state power issue. And since Justice John Marshall had officially clarified that Congress cannot lay taxes in the name of state power issues, Sen. Graham is not upholding his oath to protect and defend the Constitution by politicking federal funding for immigration purposes.
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

So if Sen. Graham wants to fund immigration remedies then his first step to doing so is the following. Graham must rally Congress to propose an immigration amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify Graham's amendment then Congress will have the power to appropriate funds for immigration remedies and Graham will be a hero.
