People begged him to step down and let someone else run for the seat, and he refused, saying he was ahead in the polls. Dimwit didn’t realize the DEMs played him big time. His ego was on display. You are right - he isn’t ready for prime time, and its unfortunate - because that seat would have been an easy pickup for Republicans.
At the time I said I was sick and tired of politicians who’s ego was so large that they couldn’t even hear the bomb go off underneath them. Nothing has changed my view.... I don’t vote for incumbents....only once in my voting career and that was for Ronald Reagan
