Journalists Accuse White House of Politically-Driven Suppression of News
Broadcasting & Cable ^ | July 8, 2014 | By John Eggerton

Over three dozen journalist organizations including the Radio Television Digital News Association, National Press Foundation, and the Society of Professional Journalists, have asked the President to drop the "excessive controls" on public information by federal agencies, branding it "politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies."

There has been an ongoing tension between broadcast, print and online journalists and the Obama administration, with complaints that the Administration has limited access to events, while providing its own "coverage" through official channels.

n a letter to President Obama, the groups complained about policies that require journalists to go through public information officers (PIOs) before talking with staff and that have PIOs vetting interview questions and monitoring interviews with sources.

"You recently expressed concern that frustration in the country is breeding cynicism about democratic government," the letter began. "You need look no further than your own administration for a major source of that frustration – politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies. We call on you to take a stand to stop the spin and let the sunshine in."

The only actual name mentioned in the story is that of one David Cuillier, who - in addition to being the president of something called "Society of Professional Journalists" - is also a professor of journalism at the University of Arizona, and (therefore) un-fireable.

Ruh-roh! They will surely get a call to tell them they had better stop complaining and start up with the glowing stories about how their Master is brilliant and everything wrong in America is the fault of GWB and those nasty Republicans!

Meanwhile, the rest of the MSM said that they are fine with the Obama Administration withholding information and continually lying to the American people. They offered to help saying that if Obama wants someone to help spread his lies we will repeat any lie he tells us to.

Remember when journalism actually meant something? They quit being journalists when they sold their souls to Obama and started kissing his arse!

Here's an idea - since this administration does not respect the first amendment nor the fourth estate, why not start to report on him a little more critically?

I'm so sick of the fawning coverage of the past five years I have very little sympathy for these whining journalists. No matter how badly he treats them they still kiss his arse.

Un-fireable, but not immortal.

They are getting everything they deserve for abandoning investigative reporting on Soetoro since the day after his speech at Kerry's Democrat Convention in 2004. Back then, their consensus opinion was,”Who's he?” Unfortunately, the statement is still valid. If they had done their job ten years ago most of current devastation could have been prevented.

The MSM narcissists got him elected over the will of the public by making “in kind” donations to his campaign 24/7. The sacrificed their respect in the eyes of the public because they thought he would hold them up, elevate them to be the overlords of the public. But he is, and always was, a bigger narcissist then the MSM and he pushed them out of the limelight and had his own in-house press conferences with administration flacks acting as “newspersons” and they began to get angry. He wouldn’t let them travel on Air Force One and gave them orders not to scoop Fox on what they knew and it all hurt so much! Everytime he slapped their faces they got angrier. Now, finally, after years of his abuses, they are angry about he treats THEM. They are fine with how he treats the American public. No, they are angry and saying to each other “But we got him into office! He owes us! Without us, he’d be some unknown new comer who told Joe the plumber about our dreams of redistributing other peoples’ money....

These ja’whornolists really are on Ø’s case now. They must all be in agreement that a new president is needed to rally around to fix this “most closed admin in history”.... they need a NEW “openestist administration in history” that can only be supplied by the smartest woman in the world.
