Flashback: Congress appropriates zero dollars for border security fence (8 years ago this month!!)

When the immigration issue was at the boiling point in the spring, the US Senate voted to erect a mere 370 miles of security fencing along the US-Mexican border. However, yesterday many of the same senators voted against providing funds to build it.

"We do a lot of talking. We do a lot of legislating," said Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Alabama Republican whose amendment to fund the fence was killed on a 71-29 vote.

"The things we do often sound very good, but we never quite get there," he told the Washington Times.

Sessions submitted his amendment to the Homeland Security Appropriations bill that would have authorized $1.8 billion to build the security fence as promised by the lawmakers and the Bush Administration. Two months ago members of the Senate voted 83-16 to build the fence along high-traffic areas of the border with Mexico. In the same vote on May 17, the Senate also directed 500 miles of vehicle barriers to be built along the border, as well.

But the May vote only authorized the fencing and vehicle barriers, and while the senators are on record as voting for border fencing and barriers, without the appropriations they've voted not to build the fence they've authorized.

"If we never appropriate the money needed to construct these miles of fencing and vehicle barriers, those miles of fencing and vehicle barriers will never actually be constructed," Mr. Sessions said on the floor of the Senate just prior to the vote, which was aired on C-Span, but not by any of the broadcast or cable news shows.

"The senators — including most of the Republican leadership — voted in May to build the fence but yesterday opposed funding it."

What a shock!

The lobbyists for open borders who are big time donors told the uni-party to kill the fence.

The 2006 election season, with ACOR/SEIU/LaRaza organizing Hispanic street protests with hundreds of thousands of people flying Mexican flags, to stop the “Republican Racist Hatred!!” of Hispanics, if you recall.

This is WHY Repubs didn't fund it: It is easy to lay blame, if you are willing to forget the 24/7 liberal media barrage, and the ACORN/CommonDreams.Org Hispanic street riots organized against it, at the time.

Now we know why.... They knew it 8 years ago, and it’s why they do nothing about it today.

My question is how many times do conservatives have to get stabbed in the back by the Republican leadership to realize they are not our ally?

Conservatives need to wake up and realize the Republican leadership is only there to keep conservatives in check.

I warned 8 months ago that the Radical Dems planned to try and recreate the 2006 Hispanic street riots that handed Nancy Pelosi the House in 2006.

Now you are seeing that plan in action. You will note how the Mainstream media is treating ANYONE that dares to say much about this, even the Democrats.

Repubs are terrified of a 2006 repeat, if they come out strong against it.

The dinosaur, kleptocratic, state run media are nothing but propagandist that ignore the laws, facts and take the fugazi globalist moral high ground. It's all rubbish.

We are either a country of laws or we are not. It's just that simple. Yes there are laws I don't like, but I follow them because it's the law. I don't get to cherry pick which laws I want to follow. To do so is to be lawless and that is what is happening.

If the Republican leadership lacks the testicular fortitude to point out this is a Cloward and Piven strategy on steroids to bankrupt and collapse the United Staes, then they are violation of their oaths and accessories to a crime.

The people that think everything is okay are buying into a false narrative/illusion while we are all about to be feed into a meat grinder.

Yet somehow the spineless bastards can’t defund the IRS.
