As part of a broader effort to connect with average Americans, President Obama on Tuesday night drank beer and played pool at a brewpub in downtown Denver.
Mr. Obama was joined at the Wynkoop Brewing Co. by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat and one of the brewery’s co-founders.
After ordering beers, the governor challenged Mr. Obama to a game of pool — and lost badly.
Despite a slow start, the president, playing solids, won handily and told reporters to note that Mr. Hickenlooper still had five balls left on the table.
“Did you record that?” Mr. Obama asked the press. “I take a little longer to warm up,” Mr. Hickenlooper explained.

There’s been stories of Barack as a young hustler. I didn’t know he was a pool hustler, too.

So, Prince Thinskin decides to meet avg folks. TO do so he hangs out w/ a dem gov. That makes sense... It seems he’s not up to governing nor hearing anything unpleasant. What use is this guy? He’s only fooling himself and a small handful of hard core libs.
How much pot did he buy while he was there?

At a former job, the VP of the division was a real a$$ - he and BO would see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, if they both could find room for their enormous egos.
Anyhoo, this VP would invite himself to poker night every now and then. He could never figure out why he always won.

I thought Hickenlooper was a chickenlooper and wasn’t going to be seen with him.
My dad was a hustler, too. He never lost his touch or his hustle. When he was in his 70s and drunk (but not as drunk as he looked!) I watched him set up a young guy. Couldn’t make the simplest shots in he first two games, but somehow just managed to win the big money game. It was like watching a master.
Bad timing for a bar drop-in when he refuses to get within 200 miles of the south border.
I bet Kim Jong-un doesn’t lose much at pool either when visiting the provinces...
