PALIN: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION 'TIPPING POINT' ON IMPEACHMENT
Breitbart Big Government ^ | 7-8-14 | by TONY LEE

Posted on 07/08/2014 8:59:25 PM PDT by kingattax

Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy has argued that "impeachment was quite intentionally included by the Framers as the ultimate check against presidential lawlessness," and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said on Tuesday that the illegal immigration issue was the "tipping point" for her in deciding that Obama needed to be impeached for a pattern of lawlessness.

Appearing on Fox News' Hannity after she called for Obama's impeachment in a Breitbart News op-ed, Palin said that Obama has already committed at least 25 impeachable offenses, including lying to the American people and fraud, especially on policies like Obamacare and the federal debt.

Palin said the illegal immigration crisis that Obama created issue hurts American workers of all backgrounds and noted that "a great awakening is due in this country." She said impeachment can send a message to Obama that "he is not an imperial president and lawlessness will not be accepted by the American people." Saying that protecting the Constitution is a "bipartisan issue," Palin called on Congress to "do its job to halt an imperial presidency" and "halt the fundamental transformation of America."

"Let's get going on that," she said.

impeachment proceedings would be a waste of time...

Why is that so? Because they have "better" things to do? Like immigration reform? Raising the debt ceiling? Starting up hearings on F&F?

With a useless Boehner, might as well keep them busy with impeachment; keeps Boehner out of trouble and engaged. If it goes to the Sinate with Reed they probably won't convict... but the taint of impeachment even without conviction would help handicap this regime while it tries to finish us off.

People so support Obama in practical ways that many would not mind an illegal forced to live in their own home if the government pays them a subsidy to house the dispossessed one.

“Obama is behind this illegal invasion”

You can bet him and his butt boy Biden are a$$ deep behind it. This invasion of the lil greaser invasion did not start until Biden returned from his visit to SA and Mexico. He set it all up and then it started. These young people did not “walk” from SA across Mexico to the border. They were shipped like cattle.

Anyone that has been down south, even to the Texas southern border, would know you do not walk 1600 miles across desert and brush. Male bovine scat........they were shipped to the border all compliments of the American taxpayer.

There are several other similar invasions on a much smaller scale that are precedent.

Refugees fleeing Somalia, Liberia and Nigeria are here is communities specifically established for their in migration.

I was specifically told by Liberians that they were here because they feared for their lives in Liberia. The stories were so pat, so identical, that it was obvious they were spewing the tale they were told to tell to justify refugee status.

There were several groups that fled Vietnam and Laos using the same procedures.

and the road goes on forever and the story never changes (or something like that)

These people have been coached to say what they say.

For the last several years I and a few like minded buds have chased these grass crawling invaders in S Texas. They have been caught with cheat sheets of what to tell BP when caught. Including the Chicoms and rags that we swept with the Mescans and OTMs from SA.

At first in ‘05 and early ‘06 it was the Brazilians that were coming over in mass with their story down pat, with the rags blending in with them. Once our great FERAL Government said no more free amnesty for Brazilians it was almost like the faucet was turned off.

From later on it was Cubans and Chinese and always SA. Then in late ‘09 the Africans started showing up, Somalians and such. Then the Chinese started showing up in force in ‘10 when Mexico made a deal with China on the unloading facility and that all Chinese did not need papers to come to Mexico but they could not stay there. We were catching droves of the slant eyed bastards, 30 to 40 in a group with 4 or 5 smugglers. At $30K a pop, we were hurting someone. Bwhahahahahaha.

It is crazy down there now more than it has ever been talking with landowners I know but different. Illegals are just turning themselves in. They used to run because they knew they would be sent home. Now they know they have a free bus ride to paradise.

Why we quit going down there. No sense in hunting these illegal invaders if our worthless government is just going to give them a free ride to paradise on our dime.

/rant off sorry.

Palin is right

I don't think that she is right in this case. Impeachment is not about justice, it is a political act and it is the Constitutional political remedy for a President who has exceeded his authority or his mandate. Once he has passed this threshold, almost any act will pass muster to bring impeachment charges and to prevail in a Senate trial. But it is foolish to proceed unless you have the political means to carry it to its end.

There is no doubt that he has broken laws and defied the Constitution and would be convicted in any fairly run court of law. But this is not about the law, it's about politics and you cannot proceed to trial unless you have the political will to deliver two thirds of the votes of the Senate. You don't set out to kill the King unless you are certain that you can get it done. If the King survives, he will be stronger. We learned that lesson with Clinton. The Democrats can stymie any attempt to impeach Obama and will use the occasion to advance their agenda.

What we need to do it to use the anger and frustration with Obama to elect more conservatives to the House and Senate and to destroy the Democrats in the 2016 election.

“,,Because they have “better” things to do?..”

The Republicans have better things to do like SECURE OUR BORDERS, and we need to pressure them to do that. Will you help out? I can’t fight the world alone.

Border security = National security

He not only should be impeached, but he should be tried for TREASON.

Treason IS one of the specific "high crimes" mentioned in the Constitution, as grounds for impeachment. The other is bribery.. I bet he could be convicted on that as well, giving and/or receiving..
