I think the best argument to make against this deceptive approach (”what would Jesus do? they are just children blah blah”) is to ask this question:
What good does it do for the poor people of the world to destroy the USA and thereby enable all the dictators, tyrants and zealots of the world to do whatever they want? How does overloading the country with welfare-seeking refugees promise any other outcome than the collapse of the country and then who’s going to provide the welfare?
