The terms “husband” and “wife” have been deleted from California’s marriage law under a bill signed into law Monday by Gov. Jerry Brown.
The terms will be replaced with “spouse” to accommodate same-sex marriage, which became legal in the state last year after the Supreme Court struck down a voter-approved ban on it.
SB1306, the bill signed Monday by Brown, takes effect Jan. 1 and reflects the legality of gay marriage after a decade of litigation. The law also removes limits on recognizing same-sex marriages performed out of state.

I don’t think that the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox churches will rewrite their Sacraments.
The time will come that the titles “father” and “mother” will be banned when describing a same-sex relationship.
And then the title of “Father” in the Lord’s Prayer and “Mother” in the Hail Mary will be thought of being sexist and the Supremes will rule that it be removed from all public prayer including prayer in a building open to the public i.e. any church and that it only be used in describing sperm donors and receceivers.

Its official there is no longer such a thing as marriage in California law.
We should always asking them about their husband(if their female) or their wife(if their male) and never acknowledged their sodomite dilutions.
If ever a woman claims to have a wife she should be treated as if she misspoke and if she makes it clear that she did not, then she should be treated as she is a bit nuts. A Good christian would tell such a woman that her sodomite behavior is sinful and should be resisted. That their supposed union founded in sin should not be respected.
The same should be said and done of a man in reverse.

The “will of the people” in a representative republic is represented via the legislature. California voters get the laws they deserve because of the politicians they elect.
