His presidency will be forever scared by the Sept. 11 terrorist attack and the Iraq War.
Scared?? or Scarred?

A great person, and an almost great President. During a time of crisis he was good, but he could have been GREAT. So many, many missed opportunities.
The BS that is going on at the boarder is largely his fault. After September 11 and the country's panic over terrorist, sealing the boarder would have been completely acceptable.
And we won't even talk about the Department of Homeland Security!
And I voted for him five times (three as Governor and two as President). Still a million times better than the current idiot, but not what he could have been.

Unfortunately he is a Bush, and his true allegiance is to the New World Order.

I miss his respect for the military, and the men and women in it. As do I. But damn little else.

GW Bush omly pissed me off a few times per year byt Obama pisses me off several times per day.

Conservatives should not look sentimentally on the Bush presidencies. Bush 1's ineptness brought us Bill Clinton. Bush 2's ineptness brought us Barack Obama.
Both increased government and government spending significantly and involved us in foreign wars that were for naught. Bush 2 even started the practice of celebrating Ramadan in the White House while lecturing Christians about tolerance (which we invented, by the way). Both men pulled a "fast one" on conservatives...

Big freakin’ deal.

I wish him the best on his birthday. I think he’s a decent man. His record is mixed. On government spending, he was a failure.

I am willing to say happy birthday. I don’t miss him at all. He proposed amnesty for millions and a more open border policy within months of the 9-11 attacks. He allowed us to get bogged down in nation building rather than winning, kicking the ever loving out of the enemy and going home, he spent as much if not more than other presidents and lots of it on stupid stuff....including no child left behind.
I do not like the current occupant of 1600 but that doesn’t change the fact the overall W was a lousy president

All of the problems we are having at the border today, goes back to GWB. I’ll never forget him calling those who want to secure the border “Vigilantes.” He’s the reason why Republicans lost Congress in 2006 and why Obama is President now.
