It must have seemed to Candy Crowley like a surefire way to inspire a spirited debate by inviting both Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar of Laredo, Texas and Mayor Alan Long of Murrieta, California to appear together on today's State of the Union on CNN to discuss the border crises. Well, to Candy's great surprise (and probably costernation) they both pretty much agreed about the situation and placed the blame on the Obama administration.
The biggest surprise to Crowley must have been the response of Congressman Cuellar as you can see in this video (and after the jump) making the point not just once but twice about the poor response of the Obama administration. As he is making his points, Mayor Long can be heard agreeing with him as Crowley noted.

p.s. Don't expect to be invited to any White House parties soon (or ever), Henry.
When a democrat attacks a democrat, half the time it’s a shakedown.
Did Candy EAT him???
Expect to see more of this Aa the summer gets hotter and 0 becomes obviously more desperate. Few stand by a desperate man who’s drowning in his own devices.
Few stand by a desperate man whos drowning in his own devices.
You’re right. And Obama is going to compound his problems (and ours) by becoming more obstinate than ever.
Recall that a few months ago, Obama’s Head of DHS was threatening to inundate the country with illegals if Congress did not roll over and pass Obama’s Amnesty program.
Looks like he followed through on the threat
She is obnoxious looking and obnoxious sounding.
SURPRIZE !!!! Candy...
Toddler illegal aliens really don’t get up one morning and decide they need to go north and find the nearest railway...
and manage to travel alone for 3 weeks plus without any bottles of milk or baby food...
TEXANS vote for Cuellar, not Obama. Cuellar represents a very high visibility border district roughly between McAllen and Peidras Negras also including San Antone. Screwy shape perhaps gerrymandered..but that’s another story. Anyway, what’s the man supposed to do in the face of overwhelming facts?
The only way he can keep that cushy job is to answer to his voters.
He could be getting a lot of calls, emails telling him to get ahead of this.
If I lived there I would of, I wrote mine an I’m over 1000 miles from there

He probably is, but keep in mind that it was the RANCHERS on the border that DEMANDED no fence be built, as that would cut off access to the river. One of those IDIOTS was on this site. I noted that the Romans, Geeks, and probably people thousands of years earlier had a way around that - called pipes.
They got what they wanted (no fence) and now they DESERVE whatever happens to them. I have NO SYMPATHY at all.
As to the guys a bit north - I do feel sorry for them, though.
Good point. Some fuel could be thrown on the fire by telling Hispanic citizens to support amnesty because if they don't they can all be replaced by cheaper illegal workers.
Alternatively, one could simply throw up their hands and say, "At this point what difference does it make?"
Out in the West Texas town of Laredo,
As I walked down in Laredo one day,
I spied a young wetback all dressed in gang colors
Dressed in gang colors as queer as they’re gay.
I see by your outfit that you are an wetback
These words I did say as he slowly walked on
Go back where you came from and never come back
For you’re an illegal and you must be gone
“He probably is, but keep in mind that it was the RANCHERS on the border that DEMANDED no fence be built, “
I think it would be more accurate to say “SOME RANCHERS”.
Ha, I bet that segment suddenly became a lot shorter than it was originally scheduled for.
Call me when the Democrat critic of Obama’s policy (or non
policy) is a congressperson from the Northeast.
You can't cross the Niagara river without the boarder patrol or the Canadians shaking you down, same with Lake Erie, and you better not be drinking beer You can't just stick a pipe in either one the EPA will own you
“I think it would be more accurate to say SOME RANCHERS.”
Maybe only some, but they certainly were the ones that were the loudest.
“You mean there really could of been a good boarder fence in place right now? When did this happen? How is it that ranchers have that ability?”
Yep, the bill to build it was passed in 2007, but then the RANCHERS complained about it and had Kay kill it a few years later, with only a bit of it completed.
It would have EASILY stopped this flow, just as the one near San Diego STOPPED the flow over there, which is why you hear about them crossing there anymore.
