Rick Perry: Obama administration 'either are inept or don't care' about border crisis
Washington Examiner ^ | July 6 2014 | Joseph Lawler

Texas governor Rick Perry amplified his criticism of the Obama administration's handling of the ongoing immigration crisis in south Texas Sunday morning, saying that administration officials "either are inept or don't care."

Perry explained that he'd warned the Obama administration two years ago about the increase in unaccompanied minors arriving at the Texas border. The situation unfolding now is a "failure of diplomacy, it is a failure of leadership from the administration in Washington, D.C.," he said.

Perry referenced his 2010 request for National Guard troops to protect the border and allow the Border Patrol to train more agents. He claimed that there are only seven Border Patrol agents a mile in Texas, as opposed to 15 in California.

The 2008 Republican presidential candidate also placed blame on Obama for encouraging immigrants to come to the country without authorization."The president has sent powerful messages time after time by his policies, by nuances, that it is O.K. to come to the United States, and you can come across and you'll be accepted with open arms," said Obama.

Perry also defended the comments he made in June suggesting that the Obama administration might be involved in conspiring to facilitate immigration from Central American countries.

Noting his previous efforts to warn the administration of the growing problem with illegal immigration by families and unaccompanied minors from Central America, Perry explained that "I have to believe that when you do not respond in any way, that you are either inept or you have some ulterior motive."

Its important to remember that we have a lot of politicians who talk tough, but don’t go to the mat with actions.

Spare me the drama, Rick.....

Come on Rick say the truth. He is seizing power through a racist revolution with foreigners. He hates America and he wants it to be another place taken over by another people.?

Another day and just more talk from ole Perry.

Perry is talking tough while trying to run out the clock to the next crisis.

Perry is a fraud. Perry does not believe in borders.

Remember Perry said those who want the illegal flow stopped, we have no heart.

Perry is a very weak man, he will NEVER act.

The obamites are neither “inept or don’t care.”
They are very skilled at what they are doing and they “care a lot” about the successes of their efforts.

Perry is ALL TALK, but no action. In the meantime, the flow of the invasion goes on. If I were you Texans, I'd make sure Perry is kicked out on his azz. PERRY IS NO LEADER. He failed to step up and do the right thing..he failed to protect the American citizens of TX, though his lack of action will affect us all. This was a test, and Perry failed. Kick his azz to the curb next election.

Why aren’t voters in the states pushing state legislation to check some of the worst aspects of this invasion pushed by the Great Pretender in the Oval Office?

“I have to believe that when you do not respond in any way, that you are either inept or you have some ulterior motive.” ~Rick Perry

Pot, kettle.

You don’t need the National Guard, Governor, you have the Texas Guard and the reserve militia. What have you done with them? Do you think we (or history) will look kindly on you for effectively telling Texans that they can’t defend their state and must wait for help that is never coming?

2012 not 2008.

Really? When did Obama say that?

Perry should mobilize the TX National Guard to protect the borders. Then Bam can nationalize the Guard and the ball will be in his corner.

Well, to be accurate, Perry said those who were against in-state tuition for illegals didn’t have a heart.

Yada, yada, yada. Perry stuck his finger in the air and saw which way the wind was blowing. Same finger every election and after the election the finger goes back into his pocket to do what, I don’t know. As if for the past 14 years he hasn’t looked out his governor’s window a half dozen blocks to across I-35 where hundreds of thousands of illegals live. I didn’t see him so much as lift an eyebrow when his good buddy KBH opened the floodgates for lawsuits against the fence. Rick, shut up and go pound sand. You know Texas is fed up with you. There’s the door, don’t let it hit you on the way out. And don’t expect a vote from this household if you’re thinking of running again for POTUS. You failed miserably last time and will worse a second time. Maybe you can get a consulting job with Gardasil.

Most states think the DREAM ACT is something new. Perry gave it to us back in 2001. That should have told Texas voters but apparently it didn’t because he’s now been in office 14 very long mamsy pamsy liberal years.

No, Perry didn’t give it to us. We can’t blame him. Texans voted for it. He signed it.

At the time, we were told, “Children who were brought here through no fault of their own should be able to get an education so Texans don’t have to support them.”

It made sense at the time and a for a little while afterward. They were minors brought here by their illegal parents. The children had no choice in the matter. Educating them would lessen our tax burden. And the tuition wasn’t was free. It was the same amount Texas citizens and residents paid. Illegals were coming here for jobs and free healthcare not slightly discounted tuition.

Now? We have terrorists, criminals, illegals and unaccompanied minors flowing across the border like a tidal wave. It has to stop. All of it. They have to go back to their own countries.

I though we'd found a fairly good Conservative presidential candidate in Cruz, but as Obama's Cloward-Pivien scheme brings a tsunami of Latino illegal aliens over our Texas borders daily, bringing drugs, disease, crime (and most likely Muslim terrorists) to bankrupt our economy- where is Senator Cruz??

You know you have a good point, I’ve heard nothing from Cruz on this, nor anything much about anything from him for almost two weeks, Palin also has said very little, at least that I’ve read here on FR.

I wonder what’s going on, they should be all over this at least twice a day, every day.
