NYC has a special high school (actually, a couple) specifically for Spanish-speaking "immigrants" who have been in the U.S. for less than 4 years. The students (100% Hispanic) there can barely keep their hands off each other long enough to look up for a few minutes to learn anything. There are always several big bellies/year in a school which consists of a single hallway in a former tannery converted to 4 schools. I think there's about 400 students there.

One is immediately struck with an almost total lack of ambition. About 91% of them get free lunch. 36% are chronically absent. Less than 50% of them graduate in 4 years, and only about 60% of them within 6 years. You NEVER hear any of them saying they want to be a doctor or lawyer, etc. "I want to be a super(-intendent of an apartment building) like my dad," one of them told me.

The girls have no career plans except to find some chico guapo and have children as soon as possible, as many as possible. The girls frequently bring their babies to school as a show and tell. The staff coos over the babies. There is no stigma. Many of the students are associated with gangs. I cannot help but consider this entire school an affront to the taxpayer. I'd be willing to bet that virtually all the students are illegals, and the return on this investment is minimal.

There ARE some students who learn English and succeed academically, but those are certainly not the majority.

THIS is what you can expect from these "children" being forced upon us.
