Yes we have. I took a flight from Miami to Phoenix Tuesday night. I was nearly the only English speaker within 10 rows of me.
My daughter & I stopped at the Costco in Tucson near I-10. As we were eating, we realized we were the ONLY ones speaking English. When we finished, we walked between the tables, and didn’t hear a word in English from anyone.
My wife is a LEGAL immigrant, as are my two oldest kids (adopted), but all three have long since become “Americans” - in language, and largely in culture too. Certainly politically, with both older kids doing tours in Iraq & Afghanistan.
