>> Stopping the car just to determine if someone was really claiming to be a cop is reasonable.
It’s probably over your head, but the whole point of her humor (and it IS humor) is that no unmarked police car could possibly be labeled as such. Or it would be a marked police car and then the label would be false. Get it now?
“This bumper sticker is false!”
More police officers that are unable to process a joke. At least they didn’t follow her home and shoot her dogs.
Oh, I understood that. But what if it really was some nut or something else. Yeah, that's a thousand to one chance but cops are often criticized for not anticipating that thousand to one possibility. LE is also very touchy about bomb jokes in airport waiting lines. Given the situation the interaction should be as brief and nonconfrontational as possible, which it appears to have been here.
We can do without the pointless insults here.
You or I or most here would get a chuckle out of it, but there's at least 40% out there that wouldn't - mebbe more. I think the police could have handled it better but side with them on this one.

I think you are over looking the IQ of the average dimoKKKRAT voter. The poster is correct considering the nut jobs out there.
This isn’t doing much to improve the stereotype of Americans not understanding the concept of irony...
The humor police are outside your door. Hide your dog.
Just a few days ago we saw the sign that said "Drugs this way" scrawled on the side of a house.
I was thinking and going to comment exactly along those lines, only you summed up my own thought in a much more pithy manner than I would have, great job.
It scary that you had to explain that here on FR.
