Believe you are correct. Bill lost his re-election bid for a second term as Gov. however, he was a Daddy (1980) when he ran for the third time, and won.
With all the ‘Bimbo’ rumors/true stories, he and Hillary needed to present a “family front”. Chelsea was a political prop.
