Is there any truth to the stories that Carson is not in good health?

No one in our history has been elected to the presidency without already holding a high-level state, federal or military position. Why do backers of this gentleman think he’ll be the first?

He’s a good man, but why are so many Republicans pushing this guy? I think it’s because he is black and they want to go overboard to prove they are not racist.

All that writing and not one mention of this:

“When asked by Beck whether people should be allowed to own “semi-automatic weapons,” Carson replied, “It depends on where you live.”

“I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it,” Carson explained.

If you live “out in the country somewhere by yourself” and want to own a semi-automatic weapon, Carson said, he had “no problem with that.””

Hmmmm, wonder why that was not included......?

Dr. Carson is a great unifier in a far too polarized political climate.

If he thinks Carson, or anyone else, can unify this country in this polarized environment then he's kidding himself.

How interesting to see Vernon Robinson back in “print.” I had occasionally wondered what happened to him.

I'm currently listening to the audio book of Dr. Carson's One Nation

He has many good ideas, but misses the mark on some very critical points. Someone has already brought up the Second Amendment.

To me, the biggest red flag was his comments on abortion. He said that pro-lifers "feel" that human life begins at conception. That's a truly foolish statement for a person who is educated in biology. The beginning of human life is a matter of scientific fact, no feelings or opinion. Differences on this point are not equally valid perspectives that can be negotiated: if someone denies that sperm and egg unite to create, right then!, a unique, living human being, he is either deeply ignorant or flat lying.

I agree with Dr. Carson that many things can be negotiated and compromised, with an eye toward the best pragmatic outcome, this is not one of them. He's trying too hard to attribute honest goodwill to the Left. One cannot negotiate with people who deny the existence of an objective reality. One cannot even sit down in a civilized fashion and identify differences with people who are driven into a frothing frenzy by the very contention that there IS objective reality.
