Unfortunately, there are already reports of counties failing to allow activists to review the voter rolls. Government bureaucrats and party bosses are trying to prevent citizens from ensuring the integrity of the election is upheld.
Mississippi law says that SSN, date of birth and age information have to be redacted from poll books before the poll books can be viewed by the public.
Not that I doubt some party bosses and election operators are attempting to cheat and not be caught - just that delay in viewing the books isn't a strong sign of that.
There is no reason for soc sec # to be in there.
Technical question: Do they have to make copies of the poll books in order to apply the redactions?ISTM that the originals need to be preserved intact.
The privacy protection does not apply if a voter has broken the law by voting when he should not have. They should be arrested and charged.
