Barack Obama thinks the Redskins should change their name. So do most of the Senate Democrats, a number of Native Americans and, apparently, the U.S. Patent Office.
But that hasn't deterred team owner Daniel Snyder, who produced this quote in May of 2013 -- "We'll never change the name. It's that simple. NEVER -- you can use caps."
And now Snyder is fighting back by trying to create some positive media of his own. Which, we suppose, is the reason he, as reported by NBC 12, has hired liberal political blogger Ben Tribbett.

Snyder would have been smarter to hire Ben “Night Horse” Campbell, a former Democrat U.S. Senator from Colorado that always made a big deal about his Indian heritage. I used to call him “Crazy Horse”.

“Redskins” is an awesome name. Ball teams are usually named by what we admire. Strength, beauty, ambition, honor, competition, heritage...what is not to love? This name is a tribute to Native Americans. The Redskins players have a lot to live up to in order to deserve this name. I don’t understand why it’s not an honor to be able to used this title. The disrespect is imaginary.
