We should have targeted Mookie. You know, back when we actually had troops on the ground. Ugh.
He wants to stop ISIS? He better shake a leg.
It’s hard to tell the bad guys from the slightly-less-bad guys. I need a scorecard.
I’m sure ISIS will be committing suicide at the gates of Baghdad by the thousands... just any minute now.
Is that you Baghdad Bob?
Al-Sadr is not pleased with the current situation?
Who would have ever thought he would have been so unhappy about the departure of the Americans?
“You think their tanks are in an endless line coming towards us, wrong, they are only a few of them and they turn around and then return as if to make a long snake”
Mookie’s back, barking. It appears he has had sufficient food supply since we last saw him in the public eye.
The hyperbole of these unwashed savages is the worst ever in the whole universe since the beginning of time.
Don’t worry about it ... just sit back and watch them kill each other off ... :-) ...
Lots of talk and parades by the Bonnie Sadder, but not much fighting.
I always thought it was a huge mistake on our part that we never took this guy out.
“Lots of talk and parades by the Bonnie Sadder, but not much fighting.”
When the time comes for real fighting, Mookie usually has to head back to Iran to pursue his religious training, or some such.
General Sulemani of the Iranian military, will run the campaign. The Persians have an ancient reputation as strategic thinkers - the term “checkmate” is believed to be an Anglicization of the Persian “Shah mot” meaning the king is dead.
The Shia are the majority in Iraq. WIth the Kurds sitting out this conflict, the Shia Majority probably has a good 3 to 1 superiority in population. Iran could also send heavy Army units in, or infiltrate thousands of plainclothes basiji, all trained military fighting men.
I expect a serious counter-offensive, but Sulemani is not going to just flail around wildly. When they launch, they will have the capability to change the situation on the ground.
They are mustering a lot of new recruits off the steet, who have to be trained (somewhat), organized and supplied. When those formations are ready, they will have to be put somewhere and given some mission. Just this mobilization is going to result in some contact. So the storm clouds are building - get your popcorn ready for another long hot Summer in Iraq.
