I was in Atlanta Airport Sunday, and every store had plenty of copies. Most were on the bottom shelf, in the back, forlorn and disheveled. I saw none on the rack in front of the stores, where the hot sellers are.

LOL> Pretty soon, it will be on the one dollar bargain rack where you can buy it even if you are dead broke.

Typically when a speciality book like this comes out, the Author’s organization buys a load of them on the first day to give the impression that they’re a lot more popular than they really are. Covey did this with his 7 habits book, and I suspect that Hillary did the same.

‘International’ sales in corrupt countries that recieve US Aid will be high... maybe even China and Muslim countries... Those folks know the value of a bribe... I mean ‘buying’ books from people they might want a ‘favor’ from in the future.

Look for GRRRRRREAT overseas sales... Hillary’s in her ‘ State Department’ element over there ... if you know what I mean...

So she doesn’t get to keep the 14 million dollar advance?

Maybe in another universe.

Publishing Source: Hillary Book a ‘Bomb’

9:46 PM, Jun 16, 2014 • By DANIEL HALPER

In an email this evening, a veteran publishing source calls the latest Hillary Clinton book, Hard Choices, a memoir of her State Department years, a “bomb.” The source is referring to the early but underwhelming sales figures.

“Between us, they are nervous at S&S [Simon & Schuster],” says the source, who gave permission for his email to be published. “Sales were well below expectations and the media was a disaster.”

According to this source, a Simon & Schuster insider, “They sold 60,000 hard covers first week and 24,000 ebooks.” The publishing house was “hoping and praying for 150,000 print first week.”

“The 60k represents a less than 10% sell thru based on what they shipped,” says the source.

It’s been reported that one million copies of Clinton’s book were shipped weeks before the June 10 publication date. “They will be lucky to sell 150,000 total lifetime,” the source writes in the email.

Hillary reportedly received a near-$14 million advance, a sum the publishing house will unlikely make back.

“It’s a bomb but it will be interesting to see how they spin it.”

Depends on her contract. Some authors don't have to repay advance if royalties fall short. Most authors do since publishers aren't in the business of subsidizing authors. However, we're talking the crooked Clintons and Simon & Schuster here. Which category do you think Hildabeest falls in?

Yeah. Me too.

Only sorta related, but who reads these political diatribes anyway? I’ve never read one from anybody and don’t intend to.
