Isn’t this what the Dave Brat campaign did to defeat Eric Cantor? Why was reaching out to Democrats and encouraging them to vote in the Republican primary acceptable in Virginia but not in Mississippi?

That's news to me, FRiend. I don't recall a concerted effort by Brat to reach out to Democrat voters. And Brat certainly didn't engage in a "Cantor is a racist" smear campaign.

Reportedly, there were some Dem voters who voted for Brat (read: against Cantor), but that movement was not orchestrated by Brat, the way it was by the GOPe in MS.
