BAGHDAD (AP) -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry warned Mideast nations on Wednesday against taking new military action in Iraq that might heighten sectarian divisions, as reports surfaced that Syria launched airstrikes across the border and Iran flew surveillance drones over the neighboring country.
American officials said the strikes appeared to be the work of Syrian President Bashar Assad's government. They said the target was the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, a Sunni extremist group

Kerry, you are centuries late.
Iraq is starting to resemble Serbia exactly 100 years ago today.
These are strange times, indeed.
Bet there skurred now.
Did you ever think you would EVER see the day where Iran and Syria is less radically Muslim than the USA?
Watch out Syria. A new Red Line has been drawn.
Hope they got some chechen warriors who traveled there.
Good hunting to them.
I know Obama supported ISIS in Syria... so I guess he wants them to win in Iraq too. Wonderful.
Maybe he’s worried that bombing Syria will increase global warming.
Assad is just trying to keep wmds out of his country. lol
Or maybe ISIS is pro-LGBT
Well at least they’re heading east. They will be dropping any ordnance in the precious Mediterranean.
Maybe he thinks Assad is acting like Jenjis Kahn..................
What he’s doing is already considering ISIS the victors and new rulers of Iraq, but no surprise there-this is what happens when we have blatant hardcore traitors in the highest levels of government.
Syria is attacking the terrorists we armed that are now attacking Iraq. I am just trying to keep up.
That’s what it sounds like. Since Obama failed to score an ISIS victory in Syria, he’s going to push for one in Iraq... which should make it possible for them to try again in Syria later.
It’s simple: We’re in with ISIS if they’re in Syria, trying to overthrow Assad. But we’re against them in Iraq, where they’re trying to establish a caliphate. But we’re for them if our enemy Assad bombs them. See?
