If immunity is what it takes, I’m all for it.

It better be solid testimony.

So tell me how Issa will determine Lerner is telling the truth without the
long gone e-mails? One must have other evidence to confirm verbal
testimony. The only other evidence is the long gone gone emails.
So Lerner can say anything she wants.

How is that going to work, other than a campaign issue for the GOP?

Why would she take immunity to give up anything? To offer immunity the person accepting must first have some kind of fear. What is gonna happen if she doesn’t take immunity? Nothing.....and she knows it.

"If immunity is what it takes, I’m all for it."

I agree. However, I asked about this at a symposium at the recent CPAC in St. Louis and the answer was, "Not yet. The affected Tea Parties also have civil suits in process and her immunity would blow them out of the water." So, that may be why they have not already done it.

BS.
Take her “immunity” and her pension.
Put her in jail.

It better be solid testimony.

Indeed.

There are two ways to approach this. One is to grant immunity AFTER finding out what she will testify to. The other is to offer immunity first and let her crap on the committee.

I wonder which approach the Republicans will take?

Definitely - need to have names and verifiable proof of guilt, then give her immunity.

Immunity from what? Right now she is free and collecting her taxpayer funded pension. She is protected by the regime and the DOJ will do nothing to her. There are no consequences for her for not testifying.

On the other hand, she is a true believer. There is no reason to believe that she would be truthful if she did testify.

I agree. They either have to give her immunity or stick her in jail for contempt. One or the other. Lerner is not going to testify without a major nudge. I’m sure Obama’s people are telling her not to worry that nothing will ever happen to her and she will never have to testify.
