Cochran should be ashamed for getting democrat votes.
But we are proud for Ronald Reagan to get democrat votes?
Reagan democrats good, Cochran democrats bad?

Conundrum, dichotomy and oxymoron combined in to one?

Cochran ran to the left to get dim votes.

Reagan stood for conservative principals and still got dim votes. Reagan NEVER ran to the left to get dim votes.

The dim votes Cochran got would have never voted for Reagan.

Not sure if serious, but...

Ronald Reagan never pandered to Democrats in order to receive their votes. He proudly espoused his conservative values and appealed to ALL voters, not just particular interest groups. And he certainly didn’t demonize other Republicans.

Cochran, a liberal, used a stupid system, an open primary, to get Liberals to vote for him to defeat a conservative. How is that like Democrats voting for Reagan?

When Reagan ran all the primaries were closed. Only registered republicans could vote in primaries for the republican nomination. They have opened up the primaries so that guys like Cochran can betray the conservatives by getting liberal democrats to cross the line to bring him over the top.

Plus the democrats that voted for Reagan were really conservatives who were sick and tired of the likes of Jimmy Carter.

The democrats who voted for Cochran were told by Cochran that McDaniel was a racist.

This is NOT forgivable!

To Hell with Cochran. Literally!

In 1976, when Reagan would get MORE primary votes than Ford, he did VERY well in open primary states like Indiana, and the deep south. He appealed to the "Reagan Democrats" who had conservative values, and were certainly planning to vote for Reagan over Carter in the general election. At no point did he target them as his base. Many of these people would become Republican later, and some of them are Tea Party Republicans now.

Cochran is turning the whole thing inside out, appealing to people who NOT attracted to conservative values, and making the pitch that the unfair attacks on Republicans who are not him were right all along. Oh, and he has no expectation of their vote in the general.

Comparing the Reagan to begging Scooby Doo for help (and who knows at what price) are apples and turnips.

One of the most ignorant and arrogant posts in a long time.

You should be extremely embarrassed if you do not have the intellectual ability to understand the evil omitted by the evil GOPe.

You post insults all Liberty lovers.

Tell your pal Karl Rove hi!

Reagan didn’t use the slimy throwing the race card on your alleged own to get black votes. What the liberal gope did in MS was reprehensible. They are pure loathsome scum of humanity.

entropy12:

Your tagline says it all. Any old POS will do in any election so long as it is a ruling class GOP-E POS.

Reagan Democrats were the backbone of the Reagan rebellion. Cochrane Demonrats were culled from the welfare rolls of the most Demonratic sections of Mississippi. Without the votes of Obozo's faithful professional Demonrats (totally different agenda than Reagan Democrats or the GOP base), Thad Animal Molester GOP-E Cochrane loses by about 8 points. With those Demonrat votes, Thaddie squeaks out a 2% victory over McDaniel, the candidate of normal Americans and normal Republicans.

This Senate race gives real Republicans a chance to make history. Vote for Democrat I: Travis Childers (pro-life and anti-Obozocare) rather than Demonrat II: Thad Cochrane who cannot be trusted on either of those issues as an admitted animal, ummmm, lover (peee-ewwww!). Mitchie the Turtle McConnell wanted this tool to serve yet another term and to vote for Mitchie, the big business flim flam man, as Majority Leader and to serve the Chamber of Commerce until Haley Boss Hogg Barbour orders Cochrane to resign from the Senate so that a new servant of Wall Street and K Street can be appointed.

So far, many of us refuse to vote for Chatsworth Worthington XXXII in the form of Trust Fund Mitt Romney. Wanna expand that to Senate, Congress and Gubernatorial races??? Keep on supporting brain dead greedheads like Thad Cochrane. I will not vote for Mark Nancyboy Kirk as my Senator, nor for moderate corrupticon "Main Street" Adam Kinzinger as my Congressthing. If that sleazebag former VA Lt. Governor Bolling (Mittens' VA Chairman, natch!) ever seeks office again, he should be destroyed. No one even remotely associated with Bolling should be tolerated either. Let us have "heads on pikes."

No mercy. No quarter. Rule or ruin!

It is long past time for an internal rage and temper tantrum in the GOP and in the nation. Purge the corrupt Wall Street/K Street $$$$ bastards once and for all. Research their scandals and expose them. Pick them apart as to their voting records and their fundraising. Destroy their reputations. Make the profession of politics too painful for these useless treasonweasels to continue. Make politics be beneath their alleged "dignity." Then beat them at conventions and in primaries and, failing that, in general elections. Run third party right wingers against them to bleed votes and to remind the general public that some of us still retain our principles.

Make it crystal clear that the purpose of politics is not government jobs or contracts or the profits of big business masters of the GOP-E but PRINCIPLES and that defectors from that goal are finished.

“But we are proud for Ronald Reagan to get democrat votes?”

A vote does not equal a vote.
Did Reagan call you or his opponent a racist if you didn’t vote for him?
Did Reagan hand out street money in the ghettos to vote for him?
Did Reagan sell his soul and principles to get you to vote for him?
