Palin: ‘If Republicans Are Gonna Act Like Democrats, Then What’s the Use?’
Mediaite ^ | June 24, 2014 | Josh Feldman

Posted on 06/24/2014 8:09:57 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Sarah Palin joined Sean Hannity to weigh in on the latest election news, and Palin told Hannity that it would be hard for her to stay with the Republicans and get excited about them if they continue acting like Democrats and rolling over.

She took a shot at the “status quo” politics of people like Senator Thad Cochran and said the Eric Cantor upset shows people want strong constitutionalists in power who don’t represent “the man [or] the establishment” in Washington.

Hannity asked Palin if she would actually follow through on her previous hints she’d go third party. Palin replied, “If Republicans are gonna act like Democrats, then what’s the use?” She said the GOP needs to thrive and stand strong against the president’s policies, otherwise “it does no good to get all enthused about them anymore.”

Again, a third party MUST win MANY elections FIRST. I hope they do. In the meantime, they need baby steps, starting with winning a few elections.

In the mean time we'll have partybots posting on websites we must change the GOP from within etc etc and would never vote for an Independent Conservative even if it was winnable or at least possible. They put party before principle. They claim principle even saying we need to pray for the nation,{I do agree we should pray} BUT they themselves REFUSE ELECTION AFTER ELECTION to take that needed step away from the corruption now running for office.

Act in Faith. If you pray for it then be ready to act on it in faith. Do what is right acting in faith despite impossibilities. Don't do what is politically expedient or you will be under their yoke because YOU voted for them. You elected them anyway knowing what they are.

I haven't voted GOP in a national office in the general election since 1996. Why? Because of who was running. I didn't vote for "Bob Dole Says" either. He was the straw that broke the camels back for me. The Conservatives have been deliberately shut out of every convention since 1996. I have no reason to support the GOP-E not for any reason.

Remember the names of the people who today play the moderate calling for unity and more time etc. In 3 months, those people will be calling us every name in the book just like last time and the time before and...

As if by magic!

And make a list of all the excuses you remember from the past. you will see them all appear again as if they were newly revealed never before spoken truths.

As if by magic...

I say this to you with love.

We must pray, but also take SENSIBLE action.

God gave us a brain, too.

You missed the part where Reagan said 3rd party is not the answer. He took the GOP back from the Establishment just like the Tea Parties are doing (a little at a time).

Nothing wrong with supporting Third Party candidates, who have a shot either. As I said, that’s what I did with Doug Hoffman.

Just don’t act on emotion alone. I’m emotional, too, but it must be combined with pragmatism.

LOL I've survived ever election purge so far even the 2000 Bush invasion. People forget several things about Reagan. He was the last POTUS elected on a Conservative/GOP-E Ticket. The ones to follow have been GOP-E/GOP-E tickets.

Reagan's communication skills played a big part in his two wins as POTUS. So did his beliefs and principles. It was what was going on behind the scenes that crossed party lines that gave him huge landslides. People forget about the very Conservative successful grassroots movement which did cross party lines. Even fewer would know their names except possibly for one of them.

Paul Weyrich, Howard Phillips, Jerry Falwell, and a man named Ed McAteer, came up with an idea that would bring Christian Conservatives together and use their political voice. Reagan being a wise man embraced the movement. It was called The Moral Majority. It wasn't a GOP ran group nor a DEM even though both parties were involved. That was the last time this nation put national morality as being a priority. The result was we were blessed with Reagan and after some correction our prosperity before the world restored. He didn't shun Christian Conservatives as ones who followed did in the GOP.

We are now in the largest national leadership crisis since The Civil War. Our national leaders are embracing gay marriage, uncontrolled immigration with good hopes of amnesty, abortion on demand, force healthcare paid for by employers including birth control a violation of moral conscience before GOD by many business owners, rampant corruption which only a few in office are addressing.

Someone, anyone, care to show me anyone in the GOP-E who is standing tall? I don't mean persons like Cruz, Lee, Golmert, I mean like Boehner, McConnell, Alexander, Corker, Graham, etc. They are part of the problem and are not the solution. What keeps them in office? Our nations judgment for turning away from GOD? Our own choices perhaps of consent by vote? GOD will Bless America but America had best start making the right choices.

We can not ask GOD to deliver us from the ones who bring this upon us when we refuse to even vote against them. We unlike most nations have a choice as to who is our leaders. We bring these tyrants upon ourselves as a nation for simple expedience. Look where the USA was in 1985 and look where she stands today. If this were 1985 some politicians would be in prison for a real long time today we call them most electable. Had enough yet?

There are a lot of good points there and no bad ones.

The bottom line I think is that people deserve what they bring on themselves. They sit here and spout the most nonsensical crap and invent fantastic excuses to keep doing more of what screwed us. I know this to be true simply by reading any right wing website and reading that very thing daily.

I think what I miss more than Reagan about that era was that many Dems from the 80s were harder right than all but 2-3 in the GOP today. And the fact that voters were not moral cowards. Not like today.

This is no longer the USA and political parties Ronald Reagan knew and would even recognize. Reagan was not that stupid. He would not be the GOP's cheerleader. Are we going to drag out the GOP-E favorite so called Reagan Commandment as well? Reagans debates with GHW Bush were quite vocal. The two were as opposite as night and day. Sad to say POTUS even then had little to say about who shared the ticket. I don't think he would have picked GHWB as VP if he had gotten his way.

Our nation no longer has the luxury of change a little bit at a time when the ones driving the train to hell have us set on full throttle. Logical change would be disconnecting the cars it's towing from the engine ASAP. Suicide would be waiting till while it's going over a cliff.
