Damn, just got back in. I was at the huge “X” Medical Center Complex in York, Internal Med Group offices, for Dr’s 11am appt, went in for weight/height check w/ new nurse, and she saw me take off .45 and mag holster, put on chair under my hat, and went batshit. She called the group’s office mgr, who told me to leave.
Although not posted on any of the bldgs, their website now lists “weapons”, along with cellphones, laptops/tablets, latex balloons, cologne/perfume/aftershave, tobacco/drugs/alcohol as prohibited items.
Docs and nurses there knew I carried, and I’ve gone thru the weigh-in/ holster-shedding routine before, and they’ve seen me do it, but no one said anything until today. First time this has ever happened, anywhere. Meh.
I’m happy to comply with rules and/or refuse to go into a business prohibiting CCW, but who knew? It’s getting real “touchy” out there. Heads-up when you’re carrying concealed. No, I don’t agree w/ open carry groups when in public.
Starbucks, Chipotle, Sonic, Chili’s, Ikea, Whole Foods now prohibit any firearms. Target and Staples are apparently next.
