The fact of the matter is that, even if united in a Caliphate, the Muslim world does not have anything close to capability of overwhelming us militarily, even if we were to leave nukes out of the equation.
The most obvious non-nuclear military fact being that North America is an island, and the US Navy dominates the world's seas more thoroughly than any Navy in history. Invasion and conquest of North America would first require getting past the Navy.
