Dana Millbank did his usual hatchet smear job on the conference by deliberately cutting sentences into selective pieces and then using them out of context.
I know whereof I speak as I was a subject of this same smear tactic back when several of us began to expose Obama’s communist/marxist background. Only then, we were compared to an UFO Convention crowd despite the fact that the 4 of use had, between us, over 170 years of experience in Internal Security/Intelligence/Investigative Journalism.
Grover Norquist’s wife was involved in Moslem Brotherhood affairs, with her mother and another relative working directly for them. Fact, not fiction.
The dialogue between Gabriel and Saba Ahmed was actually quite polite, but pointed. That, according to Milbank and Obedidallah, is Islamophobic.
Ahmed tried the old “you insult all Moslems by focusing on the extremists”, but Gabriel replied that it was the extremists who are doing all the killing of Jews, Christians and other Moslems, and must be opposed by all decent people.
Seems that pointing out the obvious truth is Islamophobic by Millbank and Obies’s standards (which seem to be the only standards they have re honesty).
You should be able to view the conference at the Heritage Foundation website. See and listen for yourself, and then do a check-off of what Millbank and Obie said about it (i.e. lied and distorted). It will be an eye-opener, but to those of us in DC, it is just another Wash. Post/Millbank smear job.

True enough. Grover Norquist is one of the most socially inept people in the political class. Being around him in a social setting is akin to listening to someone scape their nails across a blackboard.
