Suspicious Person Report Prompts Lockdown ‘Safety Posture’ at L.A. Air Force Base

Reports of a suspicious person wearing a vest or backpack with wires coming out prompted the lockdown of the Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo on Tuesday.

No further details were available, according to the statement.

"Los Angeles Air Force Base is on lockdown because of a possible suspicious person on the grounds.

Susan James, who works in public affairs on the small base near Los Angeles International Airport, says employees were told at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday to go to a secure area of their office and remain there."

“At about 6:15 p.m., an “all clear” was sounded over loud speakers at the base. It was not immediately known if anyone was in custody.

Police initially received a call with a report of an active shooter but found that no shots had been fired, Evanski said.

I was raised in So. Cal...I never heard of “Los Angeles Air Force Base”
It must be a ‘gay’ Air Force base without airplanes..go figure!

It is without airplanes or air strip. It does a lot of stuff with procurement of goods and services for the Air Force.

They do space stuff (including GPS) - no airplanes required.
