We did not want this clash to turn into a Crusade, but now it has.
The lines are drawn. Many draw parallels with the words in Revelations, but the descriptions there are somewhere between speculation and as myth to describe cataclysmic confrontation between what is basic evil and the voice of justice and reason.
It has been said, God helps those who help themselves. We have seen a seemingly infinite range of definitions of just what “God” is, and even those who find many points of agreement fall part over some arcane and totally obscure differentiation that only those two people in the whole world would even raise to a debatable level.
Saying that a Muslim could be a leader of the free world is an oxymoron. “Freedom”, for a Muslim, is a very flexible term, and any world in which the Muslim may be the leader, is by definition, not free.
Fortunately, the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut is by no means a leader. The closest thing we have to a leader in the “free” world is probably Vladimir Putin, and even his accomplishments in the name of “freedom” all have to be followed by an asterisk. That grand ideal known as “the American Experiment” may not yet be totally eclipsed, but it wanes more each day.
There are a couple of points in the above that are just wandering around, and they have not yet coalesced into a recognizable whole. I’m working on it.
