Just a thought about why God created FReepmail: there are other places to argue the theological differences between faiths besides a thread that all believing Christians should support in its efforts to ward off the gay agenda. If one parish that believes itself Christian may be succumbing to the agenda, regardless of what fault you may or may not find with the parties to the Schism, a positive-thinking Christian will pray for it to return to Biblical truth about marriage, not take the opportunity Jim Robinson has graciously provided for us here to trash all of Catholicism.

The Catholic church is a very large, global institution. Whether you agree with it or not, it is an important force in the general direction of building the kingdom of Christ on earth. It was a potent force in breaking down the hold of communism over the Soviet regime. It should be regarded as an ally of all non-Catholic Christians in the present day jihad against Christians and Jews. When the jihadis set out to inflict shari’a law on a complacent Christendom, do you think for one moment they will inquire politely whether the heads that are about to roll off their swords are Catholics or Evangelicals?

Be cordial to your brothers and sisters in Christ.

1 Timothy 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Titus 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; 14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Titus 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Now would you show the scripture that tells us that when we see somebody preaching or teaching error according to scripture that we should simply be “cordial” and let them go on in their error?
