The Mexican government is sponsoring the invasion.

Concerning these children invading us, Mexico is simply allowing this to happen, or probably better said the cartels are...and Mexico is turning a blind eye since these are not their citizens...

The fifth column immigration element in this country is sponsoring this child invasion...

Probably with the blessing of our marxist king...

Yes, sanctions until they get their act together and provide for their own people.

Not likely to happen since our government is the world's sugar daddy...

Mexico, central America has zero reason to provide for their own citizens when the US taxpayer are doing such a dandy job...

People from Honduras aren’t being sent back, they are directed to the US border.

The government in guilty.

We should be sending them up to Canada. Socialized medicine and all...

Betsy I am a fifth generation Native Texan and I have certainly noticed the many liberals moving here and I also know that Texas is at risk. I live in Austin and believe me it has always been liberal. I don’t think we are at risk in 2016 but I agree that we can if we don’t keep watch and fight for our mighty state.

I can’t believe Texas is going to put this a$$hat back in the senate.

The low information Republican primary voter is going to be the death of this nation.

2016- No. 2024- Perhaps. Texas could look alot like California is now, if the liberal demographic migration and illegal invasion trend continues at its current pace.

Mexico needs to have a wakeup call. Any competent President would call the Mexican leader into his office and explain to him that the US will either work with the Mexican Government to create economic progress and opportunity or will do everything in our power to destroy their economy. No middle ground.

The Mexicans need to allow US citizens and corporations to own land and businesses down there, no more nationalized industries like Oil and Gas Exploration.

If they don’t like it, then end NAFTA and place prohibitive tariffs on all their goods and services and impose a 35% withholding on ALL wire transfers from US to Mexico refundable if the sender demonstrates all US taxes have been paid AND they have a clean criminal record.

“$12 BILLION?

Where did that money go?”

I guess you didn’t get the message that the Clinton’s left the WH “stone broke!” This is the pot that allowed them to “recover.”

Stop all freebees! No jobs, no medical , no houses, no ability to drive, confiscate vehicles on the spot, no free education for the children, no anchor babies or children. It would take a concerted effort by local, state and federal government, then we wouldn't need a fence, wall or alligator filled moat. I know it will not happen, but there is no need for this invasion to continue. Oh, also send a huge bill to those countries from which they come. Impose full travel restrictions until paid or maybe a $10,000 dollar travel fee on American traveling to those countries until they do something about their problems. I know unrealistic.

“Mexico has no incentive to secure its borders no matter how much money you threw at them.”

What they need to “secure,” is all the male genitalia in Mexico. But with the Catholic Church firmly ensconced in all the bedrooms there, coupled with the lack of jobs, sex is their national pastime. Maybe Cornhole could send a few million TVs. They need something else to do.

“Bribing Mexico’s police to do what our president won’t is cheaper than the alternative.
“As sick as it sounds, it’s far more effective. Pay each Mexican Cop $10 per head for arrested and detained person attempting to cross their border illegally. Bonuses for exceeding a quota too.”

I agree with the payment, but suggest a variation. Pay the Mexican official a set amount annually, say $500,000 (paid by CIA under cover). Let the official know that if we catch more than X number of illegals crossing in his border area, the payment goes down $1,000 per person. I think things would tighten up immediately.

If it doesn’t work, the fall-back plan is to recognize that by Mexican official policy encouraging this invasion, Mexico has declared war on the US. Executing the Mexican presidente and his henchmen like Saddam Hussein would be good start on helping the Mexican people clean up their corruption. (Don’t you think a policy of sending families and small children across the desert, even in the care of a coyote, amounts to a crime against humanity?)

What a load of crap. And if you give all this money to Mexico, how do you know they will use it to do that? Most likely, it would end up lining the pockets of drug cartel honchos. What a maroon!

Won’t happen in 2016 but the future is sure to change.

Currently TX has 24 out of 36 CDs in the GOP fold. Both US Senators, all Statewide
elected officials, Texas state senate 19/12, Texas state house 95/55 are GOP. The
major cities such as Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin all have democrat mayors
and some regions/counties vote democrat.
Take care.

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican RINO from Texas,

I should add - Freaking thanks to all the dumb voters in Texas who re-elected this clown. He should have been thrown out in 2008 after voting for TARP.

I can’t imagine anything more liguini-spined, weak and pathetic that this idea. I still say the amoeba ought to the be the symbol of the GOP. The amoeba is colorless, sexless, amorphous and causes diarrhea. Is that not a perfect description of the GOP? No?
