Get me a path to 51 without Kentucky. And also put South Carolina in the Dem column with Lindsay Graham by your same definition.

The fight is over. McConnell is a RINO, but he’s better than the alternative — a hard-core liberal. Then fight within the caucus to make sure he does not ascend to Majority Leader.

Unfortunately, control of the Senate is going to have to include the likes of McConnell, Lindsay and McCain. It is what it is. It’s way better to be able to set the agenda and have the entirety of the House in opposition to Obama. I shudder at two more years of Harry Reid.

The only agenda either party advances is rapid growth of government.

That is all, nothing else.

It makes not a damn bit of difference which party is in charge of anything, it’s all still government, and it is eating us alive.

Take the map at the following link and remove Kentucky.

That was easy.

Please note that this map projects Alaska, Colorado, and Michigan as weak Dem holds. There are many paths to a majority without KY.

McConnell is different from Graham precisely because he is party leader. As I am not a Senator, I am not in a good position to fight within caucus. I don’t think the caucus has the collective spine to fight inertia—and other than McConnell dying or suffering a stroke, the only way out is to not give the caucus the option.
