Wow! Love that one, MY!

I can’t see it. It’s cloudy...and we’re hoping for rain.

Not holding my breath, though!

Schubert: "Night in the Forest"

Dietrich Discher-Dieskau with Gerald Moore on piano. This is one of the greatest of all the settings of Schlegel's poetry, and it's in sonata format. There are three distinct themes for the first three verses -- all in the correct key relationships for Schubert -- a development section, and recapitulation. The coda is amazing.

Rain came out in sheets yesterday.
Night before that the ol moon was rising in the trees while we sand songs on the porch.

Magical stuff
Gods hand.

I think just accidentally stumbled on the inspiration for that song.

It is from a poem by Shelly.

Love’s Philosophy
By Percy Bysshe Shelley
The fountains mingle with the river
And the rivers with the ocean,
The winds of heaven mix for ever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In one spirit meet and mingle.
Why not I with thine?—

See the mountains kiss high heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth
And the moonbeams kiss the sea:
What is all this sweet work worth
If thou kiss not me?
