This was the quote I skimmed,

"In his concession speech to supporters Tuesday night, Mr. Cantor, who has served seven terms, didn't indicate whether he would run in November as a write-in candidate, as allowed under state law."

Obviously I read it too quickly. It was from a WSJ article from this morning. Apologies.

Thanks. It would have been huge news. I seriously doubt Cantor will run a write-in campaign. It would destroy the GOP in VA. The theme this year is unity. The memories and wounds of Bolling and other GOP luminaries not supporting Cuccinelli are still fresh. I hate to imagine the repercussions of Cantor not accepting the results of a GOP primary and running against the GOP nominee.

When the GOPe guy wins, we are expected to rally behind him. However, when the conservative or non-establishment guy wins, the GOPe does not accept the result and either gives lukewarm support to the nominee (and little money) or does a Murkowski and goes rogue. Either way, it is destructive.
