How Lindsey Graham Stomped the Tea Party(Grahamnesty gloats and so are the libs)

(Subtitle : "One of the Senate's most liberal Republicans is rolling to victory in one of the reddest states. Are other Republicans watching how he did it? GREENVILLE, S.C.—Kicking the crap out of the Tea Party is the most fun Senator Lindsey Graham has ever had. ")

"More fun than any time I've been in politics," Graham tells me at the YMCA here, where he's about to address a couple dozen supporters. Little kids are streaming through the halls to their gym classes, and a smell of sweat hangs in the air. "Because people are being uplifting," Graham continues. "People are really saying, 'OK, enough already.' They're starting to push back from trying to define conservatism in a fashion where there is no room for solving problems."

Ever since the rise of the Tea Party, Graham—a politician who seems to delight in sticking his finger in the eye of the Republican base—has been on the front lines of the struggle for the soul of the GOP. For years, they have heckled him and called him names. But now he is having the last laugh. Facing six no-name opponents in Tuesday's primary, Graham needs 50 percent of the vote to avoid a runoff, and he is confident he will get it.

too many challengers. at this point since light loafered lindsay already acts like a democrat than the thing to do in SC is to vote for the democrat and get rid of lindsay that way.

Nothing. Six challengers faced him and divided up the conservative vote.

That's exactly right. One strong Conservative could have beaten Ms. Lindsey. Never going to do it with six middlings. Heh .... bash the Tea Party. They are desperate to do that.

Sorry. We ain't a-goin' nowhere.

I wonder if Brat’s victory had to do with him not claiming to be Tea Party and having very little to do with it?

Dave Brat is a positive candidate, but the real reason for his win is that first, Cantor is a D.C. kind of guy with very little to do with the folks back home, and second, he lied about his opponent in his ads. Now Brat doesn't look like Reagan redux, at this point, but Cantor shot himself in the foot.

Well, dammit, I didn’t vote for him.
I voted for Lee Bright.

He needs to be reminded that without those “tea party” voters in November he gets term limited.

Take the heat to him. Publicly challenge him on his “bonafides”. Call him out. Demand he state his intentions on. Gun control, immigration, debt ceiling, obamacare, etc He brought up impeachment- ask him if he would vote to convict Obama for violating immigration law, refusing to inform congress of the terrorist trade for the traitor . If I lived there it would either be you pledge to tow the conservative republican platform or we sit out voting for him in Nov.

After lunch, pass and sign Federal Penalty law to anyone who hires an Illegal Alien Invader, with a fine of $1,000 per day per alien.

I would make it $200/day/alien, make it strict liability (plausible looking fake ID no defense), and make ANY police agency be able to enforce it, with the arresting agency keeping the money.

Instantly, catching illegals at work would be a higher priority than manning speed traps. Any business caught with illegals once, would get daily visits looking for illegals for the rest of the month. Businesses that made good-faith efforts to not hire illegals would not be hit hard by the occasional illegal that makes it though the screening process.

Also, make it explicitly NOT discriminatory to require fluent English from all applicants. And Ebonics doesn't count as English.

RE :”I wonder if Brat’s victory had to do with him not claiming to be Tea Party and having very little to do with it?”

And sounding honest when Cantor always sounded dishonest.

Ran as a real outsider.

Sounds like he will keep the seat too.

Force everyone into the i9 system. Prosecute people for SSN fraud.
But if Ivan comes to work with a green card, how will we know if his family is here illegally if they don’t work?

If their applying for food stamps, or trying to enroll in public schools, or trying to get free medical care in ERs gets them immediately arrested and deported, then we can get rid of them.

If Ivan is working and supporting his family to the degree that they are not consuming tax dollars, then I don't care if they are here illegally. I start caring when they consume my tax dollars, instead of paying taxes.

I’m sad linda won. However, Tim Scott also won. That means that most of the time, when it comes down voting for some knuckle headed liberal bill, South Carolina will vote “Present.”
