As a general rule, Muslims recite the Quran in Arabic, rather than in the vernacular.

Once when I was in Turkey I overheard a Turk saying he'd memorized the Koran, but since he didn't speak Arabic, he didn't understand it. He had to read the Koran in Turkish, but that's not the "official" Koran presented to Mohammed in Arabic.
