Bergdahl speaks Arabic recites Koran? (vanity)

A friend just contacted me and said a recording of Bergdahl was on Rush (Steyn hosting) with him reciting the first verse from each chapter of the Koran in Arabic. Is this for real? I thought he was held in the Pushtin region, how does he know Arabic?

Does anyone remember Obama reciting the Muslim call to prayer on the morning talk show the day after his election to his first term?

Can anyone explain how Bergdahl, supposedly still in the service, has long hair and a beard? How did this POS ever make Sgt.? Why isn't his hair cut and he in uniform while meeting the president? Since when does someone hug and walk with their arm around their Commander in Chief? Is all propriety gone?

Does anyone remember the POWs from Vietnam stepping off the plane in uniform, squared away, and happy to be home and respectful of their superiors? How is it possible that no one sees how skewed this whole thing is?

If Obama had a son it wouldn't be Trayvon Martin it would be Bergdahl.

As a general rule, Muslims recite the Quran in Arabic, rather than in the vernacular.

Bis mi llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim are the first words of the Koran.

It is common to start prayers, including the call to prayer, with these words.

It was daddy Bergdahl, not Bowe.

Sorry, I can only answer one of your questions: Is all propriety gone? Yes. It's shameful.

If you think it's bad now (and it is), wait until the released terrorists start killing people.

The Koran is in Arabic and so are the required prayers. They aren’t done in native languages. For a long time it was forbidden if I remember correctly to print the Koran in any language except Arabic because of the required belief that the text is the literal word of God and if you translate it you are distorting it and committing blasphemy. Most have softened that and allow for translation, but it is still considered a pale shadow and the only authority is the Arabic version.

I share your outrage but that was the soldier’s father, not the soldier himself.

The long haired, bearded guy at the WH was Bob Bergdahl, Bowe Bergdahl’s father.

More curious to me is how PFC (E-3) Bergdahl left his post, was gone for five years and became Sgt. (E-5) Bergdahl when he was released from whatever confinement he experienced.

When you are considered a POW you are automatically promoted whenever you become elegible upon length of service. This happened in Vietnam, they all were promoted, some to flag rank, I believe.
