At least five killed in admin HQ blast as fighter jets deployed to Lugansk, Ukraine

At least five people are reported killed after an explosion in Lugansk administration building. The blast came as Kiev deployed fighter jets to the city in eastern Ukraine. This and heavy gunfire on the ground caused panic among civilians.

The death toll was first reported by RIA Novosti; later it was confirmed by local self-defense forces, who said the blast was caused by the army's fighter jets striking the building.

“Ukraine’s air force struck Lugansk downtown at 16.00 pm. Military aircraft made a targeted strike, deploying cluster bombs. The administration building is partially destroyed,” the government of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) said.

Many wounded were trapped inside the administration headquarters, which caught on fire. About six ambulance vehicles have arrived at the site. The death toll may rise.

Those killed - three women and two men - are all civilians, witnesses told RT. One of them was the LNR’s health minister, Natalia Arkhipova. During the air-strike, she was talking to another woman on the administration building’s steps, the self-proclaimed republic’s premier, Vasiliy Nikitin, said.

Large blood stains inside the HQ could be seen on live-streaming video from the area, with pieces of glass and stones also visible on the floor. The camera operator was choking with smoke. On the outside, many windows are shattered, shell fragments covering the nearby area and dark plumes of smoke are coming from the fourth floor.

I saw her pass soon after she lifted her head....that image I do not want to forget and won’t. I have it here but I HIGHLY CAUTION those with weak hearts and souls not to look. The first image is of her sitting at her desk a few days ago....the second on the street looking up at the jouralist, her legs severed....the third is heartwretching video as she speaks to the journalist, who himself is overwhelmed with the situation......

((((Warning’ Very Graphic!))))

Lavrov has begun to push for a No Fly Zone, directly citing Obama’s own words about Libya. The Russians called an Emergency Security Council meeting last night to discuss a new resolution, but they said they didn’t expect much from NATO, and that’s what they got.

Depending on how the meetup goes on D-Day, I think he’ll move after that. Just too much pressure building at home, and from the parliament. And they can claim the same moral high ground that Obama claimed in Libya, for the same reasons.
(Do the Ukrainian have any of those amazing flying palaces, building, tanks, and people like the Libyans apparently had?)

And you’ll remember, I called this all the way back in early March, when others were saying Putin would invade with ground forces. I’m just surprised it has taken this long.

In trees,You see the flash of the manpad missile taking off,
then you see the backflash, then you see missile hitting
trees and stuff in front of building, exploding killing
people.

If that was a missile from the plane bouncing off the tree,
you wouldn’t see the back flash. It is a clearly launched
ground missile from the tree area. The plane shouldn’t
have strafed there...Missle just got loose,,,

You all the time make huge self righteous bleep bleep
bulls-—, you only want truth, well picture shows
the truth and tragedy...

And about the manpads. Almost everyone UKR had was
in salt mines and terrorist got them all,
truckloads of them...

I see those who post against the obvious evidence of reliable sources, especially when military people examining the evidence and other professionals have made their assessments, as nothing more than trolls who care not to evaluate the evidence as reported, nor do they care about truth....and that puts them directly in line with the father of lies because they don’t care for the truth.

Wow..
Talk about stretching. The facts are VERY clear. Did you note how high up in the tree that hit??

Even a child would have a problem getting that high up on those small branches, let alone while carrying a 50-70lb MANPAD. But hey, I’ll give you some credit for trying, however desperate.

Are the OSCE Observers now “Paid Putinista Propagandists” now?

“nothing more than trolls who care not to evaluate the evidence as reported, nor do they care about truth....”

They haven’t since this started. They whine “Propaganda!” when the facts don’t suit whatever today’s EuroMaidanPR position happens to be. There were MANY articles in Western Media before the coup about how large and effective the EuroMaidan Social Media propaganda campaign was, and the massive server room they were running for it in Kiev.

Kiev KNOWS this imagery is horrible, even worse than what the Odessa and Mariupol Massacres were. In this case, there is no denying the video evidence, and the images are stark, disturbing, and brutal.

I still think this was a rogue pilot that launched without authorization, but that doesn’t change the facts, or the imagery.

So, the OSCE, The Interpreter, Agencie France Press, Canada’s “the Nation”, the UK Gaurdian, Al Jazeera, etc are all WRONG, but your unsourced “military expert” is right??

Man, that’s a desperate reach, even for you.

Yes Lavrov did push for a No Fly Zone...the US can’t initiate that (lead) because they are staying as far away from anything which might implicate their involvement more than what is already evidenced.

We both know, as do others, this is now about how both the US and Russia can save face....but every move they make does appear to make matters worse on the ground.

Yes, I remember you saying Putin would go in...and he may yet as he’s got all the military on the borders, or close enough...the US can’t until Putin makes the move so they can say they had no choice, and until things get bloody enough.

Putin has to be certain that the International “Citizens” will support his moves, even if they disagree with him, just to stop the Keiv Army from bombing Ukrainians. Other nations are alreay protesting and want ‘someone’to stop it.....

I said at the beginning that the US/a\Nato would do some backdoor dealing with Russia ....I think so far they’ve not met Russia’s requirements or Russia would have gone in.....they know they’ll have to take the heat when they do...

Remember Syria got right to the doorstep....then Russia stepped up to the plate.....I think it will be the same here....and the US will agree.

Heck Russia could sit on it’s border and knock some of these jets right out of the air...not so sure Russia wants to go in even now though....it’ll be his war then and not so sure they want that expense when it’s US/Nato who initiated this entire mess.

Officer threatens Ukraine soldiers w/courtsmartial for refusing to fight & complaints about conditions. No helmets no vests not enough food. Many barely trained for combat.....sending kids to fight bad enough...not equipping them is sinful.

Yanukovich (Tyrant that he was) didn't do a tenth of what this lead US/Kiev/EU/Nato has been doing in Eastern Ukraine.... Ukraine forces are using combat jets and helicopter gunships.

Last week in slavainsk" Reporter stated:... "Motars fell with 10-20 sec intervals for 20 min. When a lull came, ran to another bldg with thicker walls"
