In 2012, The Toledo Blade urged it readers to re-elect President Obama, arguing in part that He has dealt effectively with economic recession at home In retrospect, that is wickedly darkly funny. It reminds me of a passage I read about WWII. The war was nearing an end, and anyone with a scintilla of intelligence knew Germany was going to finally lose. However there was a meeting of a group of German Officers. The Officer giving the speech said something to the effect: "And when we win the war you will all be given great estates in America." Loved it!

It makes about as much sense as any given senior citizen joining AARP.
In light of the VA scandal, a prelude to Obamacare, I wonder if there are any veteran's groups who will endorse any Democrat who voted for Obamacare?
