My friend is 50-50 Korean American. I was astonished that she considers herself a “person of color.” Ivy League grad, all the advantages, and still she feels like a “minority.”

Go figure.

I’ve yet to meet a 50-50 anybody not side with their “minority” side. I can think of about half a dozen celebrities who were rejected and abandoned by their “parent of color”, and raised by their pale parent—only to say they consider themselves “colored”.

I’m not shocked at all by that. Mixing does create confusion for individuals that eventually will self-identify.

"person(s) of color"

One of the most detestable designations ever devised by the race hustlers.
