And, another thing is that everyone thinks they should be a protected class and get benefits from some level of government that will support them in the manner in which they choose to live. Until we all realize that we are ALL in this together and that we all sacrificed in many ways, we are doomed to run ourselves into a deep money pit.

Even Lenin tried to adopt Dewey’s methods for Soviet schools and to his credit, when they were a total flop, he ditched them and went to the tough, traditional European schooling.
America wasn’t so lucky. It was the start of the road downhill for education, arrested only when parents rejected it. But then, more body blows came later, in the 1950s, by Noam Chomsky and his “whole language English” scheme.
White parents wanted nothing to do with it, so it was foisted on black students, who at the time, even in segregated schools, were almost on par with white students for their English language skills. But with whole language, within 10-15 years black students were reduced to illiteracy, and not knowing English, they could not learn anything else.
As far as the “free press” goes, the east coast and big city media has been in the pockets of the Democrats from the start. Scoundrels like communist apologist John Reed filled American newspapers with the wonders of communism, while cursing America at every opportunity.
Communist infiltration of the media was just as pronounced as was their infiltration into the federal government and Hollywood.
