I’ve lived in ghettoes (No. Phila, worked in East Baltimore). They are mental and physical death traps for those stuck in them. If I were a racist I would want to keep people there. I don’t. Give them a safe place to live, to go to school, and to play, and you’ll stop the racism that the Democrats have put on many black and hispanic people. It’s the old Plantation system of Robert Byrd updated as the Great Society, Welfare addiction, Free Cheese, and piss-poor schools and public housing.
Keeps a person down as effectively as a ball and chain. A ball and chain can keep down the body, but not the spirit. The Democrats aim to kill the spirit of self-reliance, dignity through work, and productive educational programs.
Look at who is behind Common Core? Leftover reds from the 60’s, by their own admissions. American children deserve better but under the Democrats, what have they got to show for decades of welfare paternalism and Big government deciding how they should live?
