———Mr. President, you must have people to collect, absorb and deliver news of the day to you.-——
He does... He gets a bullet point report daily....don’t know if he reads it...
Not an in depth analytical report like the “moron” Bush and every other POTUS read every day....
Just a one page bullet point highlighting the most pressing information....
After all he is so smart he doesn’t need for current events to be analyzed for him.....

Shucks.....I’d hate to be a Democrat running for office this coming November, 2014!!! Obama needs to be impeached....not by Republicans...but his own Democrat Party!!!

I'm on a waiting list for an appointment with a podiatrist at a VA health center; that is, I have an appointment but it's not until October. But I have no reason to doubt it's a real appointment and that I will see a doc in October. It is true that VA hospitals often can not keep up with the volume of patients in certain departments.I suppose the obvious remedy would be to enlarge the hospitals and add staff if existing staff are making a good-faith effort at serving the vets but fall short due to an ever-increasing number of patients.

I suppose the obvious remedy would be to enlarge the hospitals and add staff The answer is market-based. Give vets insurance or treatment vouchers that they can redeem with the insurance company or hospital of their choice.
Government operations are always inefficient. Always.

Yeah, but Will Rogers wasn’t President and, more to the point, he wasn’t dumb and lazy.

I agree that vouchers would be preferable to enlarging the VA health system. But increasing its capacity is the only way to fix it within the existing agency.

I was not addressing the fraud issue, which is the most egregious failing of the VA.

Shucks.....Id hate to be a Democrat running for office this coming November, 2014!!! I felt almost the same way going into 2012. But the presidential election returns (the Obamanation by 52.5%)are tempering my optimism for 2014. Will the Demonrats be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat this time?
